The 3rd World Forum on Local Economic Development is organized by the Executive Committee which is composed by the Municipality and Metropolitan City of Turin, the global network of United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) and its Committee on Local Economic Development, through the Andalusian Fund of Municipalities for International Solidarity (FAMSI), the Organization of United Regions (ORU FOGAR), the Brazilian Service of Support for Micro and Small Enterprises (SEBRAE), the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
sixeleven provides support to the United Nations for the Third World Forum of Local Economic Development, an event that brings together politicians and international agencies in order to share best practices of local government by implementing the global agenda for a sustainable development.
Promoted, among the others, by the City of Turin, the Piedmont Region, the International Labour Organization and the UNDP, and hosted in Turin (October 13-16 2015), the event requires a coverage on the web and a massive increase in the global level of awareness, even towards a non strictly specialist audience.
With the aim, therefore, to enhance the visibility of the official website, sixeleven structures a program of support by increasing the organic ranking of the website created by the City of Turin with SEO and SEM, encouraging direct visits through targeted social campaigns and banners for the Google display Network (i.e. Adwords).
The volume of visits generated in the first week of work was higher than expected and the initial estimates have therefore been reached and overtaken before the beginning of the event. The last two weeks of September saw an increase of over 400% of returning visitors, while new visitors have increased by over 800%.
