Percorsi di Secondo Welfare began as a research lab at the University of Milan. With the goal of shaping national social policy, it has evolved into an independent think tank. Through dissemination, consultancy, training, and publication, the organization works today for an equitable welfare system tomorrow—sharing vital knowledge through its new magazine: Nessi.







Transforming ourselves to transform society
Percorsi di Secondo Welfare's rebranding is part of an organizational evolution, repositioning from a university lab to a top-level think tank in the Italian ecosystem. We developed a visual and verbal identity that puts people first: both the researchers who make the storytelling possible and the citizens who participate in social innovation in action.
Evolving without losing its essence, Percorsi di Secondo Welfare now presents itself with more vibrant colors and communicates with the outside world with confidence, authority, and credibility—a valuable resource for citizens, scholars, and organizations in an era of uncertainty and continuous change. Societal evolution requires effective communication: that's why we created a multi-channel communication strategy that shares complexity through clear language and accessible tools, with immediacy and credibility.






Data needs context: Enter Nessi
At the end of 2025, Percorsi di Secondo Welfare took a major step forward in communicating the new Welfare State: every six months, a new issue of Nessi arrives. An evocative publication that, from its very title ("Nessi" means "connections" in Italian), emphasizes the tight links between social research and impactful social policy. Through our graphic and layout work, Nessi establishes itself as a reference point in the sector—a working and learning tool for all stakeholders.
